Here are some comments from guests who have been out in the mountains with me...

Grant M. Carnie, Colorado:

"I have been climbing and enjoying the majesty of mountains for 35 years and am very excited to have found a guide with Mark's qualifications to share in these wonderful experiences. For the past several years I have always looked forward to my annual climbing adventure with Mark; we have climbed big routes in the Alps and remote peaks in the Canadian Rockies. Mark has always been confident, safety oriented and extremely knowledgeable concerning all aspects of the climb. Mark has a real passion for his profession and is proud of being a world class certified guide, I recommend spending time with Mark by enjoying a range of mountain adventures.

On a personal note I want to thank Mark for his assistance in helping me climb again after having a disc removed from my lower back, six mo nths after the operation he had me climbing and enjoying big Canadian peaks."

Grant and I have been climbing together since 1999, and have summitted nearly 20 peaks together. This guy cranks! I'm worn out after every trip. Here's some of what we have done together:

1999: Huber, Victoria
2001: Whyte, Edith Cavell
2002: Fay, Quadra
2003: Bryce, Louis
2004: Swiss and French Alps
2005: Bonney Traverse, Stanley, Deltaform attempt

Richard Seibel, New Jersey:

"Mark got me up and down Assiniboine in one piece eight months after double hip replacement."

Richard started climbing later in life and maybe that's why he's so keen. Alex Lowe (one of Richard's heroes) once said the best climber in the world was the one having the most fun; by that standard Richard is the best climber around. We've done six trips together, Richard couldn't make it last year and I sure missed him. I hope he can make it back this year! Here are a few trips I've done with Richard and his wife Thea (we've done plenty of rock climbing over the years too):

1999: Lefroy
2000: Bugaboos
2001: Assiniboine
2002: Charleton, Unwin, Edith Cavell
2003: Tupper, Rogers
2004: Schaeffer, Grassi Ridge

Eric Harvey, Banff:

"Mark was patient and flexible enough to wait out the weather, as a result we climbed three 12,000 foot peaks in a week."

Eric is a local Banffite who I have known for years. We've skied only a few times together but the last trip we did was a doozy. We flew in by ski plane to the Clemenceau Icefield and skied to the Columbia Icefield over 9 days. Along the way we plucked 3 plums: Mt Clemenceau, Mt Columbia and the North Twin.
